My dad built this beautiful little cupboard for my son's birthday. All I had to do was paint it. :) My son LOVES Dr. Who., hence the theme here. My son and I are also knitting a Dr Who Scarf together (The one around Dr. Who's neck with all the colours.) Sometimes he knits on it and sometimes I knit on it. I mostly knit on it while he practices the violin. Very soothing actually. Now back to how I painted the little cupboard.
I used Rebekah Meier Mixed Media Adhesive Sheets to make the "Free to use to Public" sticker and also the round police sticker. I used normal white printer paper to print the labels and then stuck it onto the "Mixed Media Adhesive Sheets". After the paint was dry, I used a varnish over the whole cupboard, including the stickers.
I used CHALK PAINT. Ol Navy and Black. I used Pebeo white fabric paint for the stamping with my own custom ArtFoamies Stamp.
Here is the birthday boy with the finished project.

So this Autums projects included apple harvesting, fruit drying, Canadian Thanksgiving and bathroom wall stamping with ArtFoamies. What a beautiful time of the year. The Fall colors make me so very happy. We have so much to be thankful for.
If you wanted to try stamping with some ArtFoamies on your wall, make sure your prepping is done right. Walls covered with acrylic based paint first, works the best. If you do have an oil based surface lightly criss-cross with sandpaper where you will be stamping. This will give the surface a very light "tooth" to grip the paint that you will be using on your ArtFoamies.
I love using lots of colour. This picture doesn't show it very well, but the walls are painted a very light sea-green. (Acrylic based) I used a variety of opaque acrylic based paints with strong pigments for the stamping. Even Pebeo's fabric paint. Once you wait 72 hours for the paint to cure - it won't easily wash off. I also used Decoart for some lovely colours.
ArtFoamies that I used were: ArtByMarlene -Circle Salad and Geo flower. Balzer - Spot-on and Swirly large. I think I might add some pen lines or leaves to the mix. Why not? Life is too short not to. My kids were worried about me stamping the bathroom wall with lots of colour, but they loved it in the end.
