Hi ArtFoamie Fans!! Lynne Forsythe here. Hope you have had a WONDERFUL Summer. We here in the North Country of New Hampshire are trying to hang onto any bit of Summer that’s left because we know what is around the corner……
But we all know Fall is coming. Though it is one of my FAVORITE seasons because of the BEAUTIFUL colors of the foliage…..I know what comes after that!
I had been working of a Fall Wreath class. In the class, we will be painting Buckram and I just hate WASTING COLOR. So, I used a few pieces of sheet music along with some kraft packing paper, to sop up any excess color.
But what does one do with ALL these sheets of color you might ask!! Well, I turned them into Fall Leaves.
I pulled out a few of my new ArtFoamies. The first stamp I used was by Sarah Matthews ~ Doodles
Using a brayer, I applied Perfect Paints ~ Moss Green onto my ArtFoamie and stamped randomly over the face of the repainted papers.
Then I pulled out another Artfoamie by Red Tin Roof ~ Gothic Patterns.
I mixed Perfect Paints ~ Red Wagon and Aged Copper and applied the new color to my Gothic Patterns ArtFoamie.
When I was happy with how the scrap papers looked. I created a maple leaf pattern and cut out a bunch of leaves.
I strung the leaves on thread to create leaf banners. I then attached the banner to my vintage door. I JUST LOVE how it came out! A BEAUTIFUL backdrop for my Fall Wreath!
Now, I had LOTS of pieces parts left over from cutting the maple leaves, so I collaged them onto a sheet of kraft packing paper….added a little Perfect Paint Polishing Plaster. I also used another stamp from the Ret Tin Roof ~ Gothic Patterns set to finish off my “new paper”. NOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT!!!?!?
I hope I’ve inspired you to pull out your ArtFoamies and CREATE!! Thank you for stopping by!
