Hi Everyone, It’s Jeanine here, with my post for Art Foamies. What an absolute honour to bring you inspiration.
Today I wanted to show you how I made this fun book using gelli prints. I have a video on how I created these gelli prints and art foamies ( I only had two at that time; Marigold Mandala - https://www.artfoamies.com/store/p445/Marigold_Mandala.html and Peacock Feather - https://www.artfoamies.com/store/p613/RTR%3A_Peacock_feather_small.html ) You can view the entire gelli printing video here: https://youtu.be/_nYdUXWDkCg
I start off by using the Marigold Mandala foamie as a template, to trace around my gelli printed papers, and then cut a stack of them out for my book pages.
I glue the pages together front to back, to create book pages.
Next I score them to create a spine and then glue the scored edges together to make a book and hold together at the spine. I used double sided tape.
Once I was happy with the book, I cut a strip of paper with a pretty print of the peacock feather and sick it over the spine for extra hold and decoration.
I also decorate the front pages more using Dyane Reaveley stickers.
I hope you enjoyed this Video tutorial on how to create this fun art foamie book that you can use as a junk journal or art journal, or even to sketch in.
I’ll see you all next time with more inspiration.
