Hi everybody. So happy to be joining you today to share with you a tutorial using ArtFoamies with embroidery! I do love how this turned out and can see it being used on many items. You could embroider pillows, bags, clothing, or just a print to hang! The possibilities are endless. So check out this tutorial and see what ideas come to your mind!
Step 1: To start I cut a piece of Cross stitch fabric to fit my hoop.
Step 2: Next I trace the inner circle of my embroidery hoop so I know where my image will be seen.
Step 3: Once my circle has been traced, using black paint on my Rose Art Foamie I stamp the image where I want it place. I also stamp a second print onto a piece of paper and cut it out to use as a mask.
Step 4: With my mask covering my rose, I then decide where I want my leaves placed and stamp those as well.
Here I have all my stamping done.
Step 6: Place your fabric back into your embroidery hoop and begin adding color with your embroidery thread. I didn't use your basic cross stitch and I also ignored the holes. I want slanted line going straight across the area as you will see in the picture below with my finished rose. You can do whatever stitches like. This tutorial is to show you another way you can use your art foamie, not a tutorial on cross stitching. I would need a tutorial myself for that one!
* Notice I did not complete the entire rose. This is because that area is not going to be seen on the front.
Step 7: Now continue to add thread to your leaves. I used a couple shades of green to add a little dimension in the color.
