Welcome ArtFoamies Fans!
Lynne here to share my ArtFoamies Christmas Tree.
I had been to the “real world” lately
and stopped by a Joann Store.
While wandering around I came across
this Unfinished Wood Decor-Tree
My creative juices began to flow and I knew
I had to have it.
When I got home I couldn’t WAIT to begin
creating my Christmas Tree.
So, I pulled out a few ArtFoamies
Art by Marlene ~ HexaGone
Rebekah Meier ~ Mesh
Ann Butler ~ Stripes
Nathalie Kalbach ~ Versailles Positive & Negative
and several different greens
to create depth with color.
Next, I needed to decide what to use for the different layers of the tree.
I chose 3 different fabrics
and 2 types of Tissue Stock
and a page from my vintage Farm Book.
I cut the chosen materials into 2.5” stripes
and taped them down to my craft mat.
I applied the various colors of green with a brayer.
And randomly stamped with my ArtFoamies onto the strips.
Next, I painted the entire Wooden Tree.
When dry, I began applying the various strips to the painted tree base.
The stamped papers were adhered directly to the tree
with Multi Medium.
I used a basting stitch on the fabrics to create a ruffle.
I accented the paper layers with pieces of ruffled lace
and the fabric ruffles with Pom Poms.
And I topped the tree with a crocheted star.
Then, I finished off the tree by covering the back with burlap.
I can’t wait to begin decorating for Christmas.
My new Christmas Tree will be a
BEAUTIFUL centerpiece on my dining room table.
Once again THANK YOU for stopping by!!
Hope I’ve inspired you to pull out your
ArtFoamies and CREATE!
